Hi Everyone, I'm struggling to find products that guarantee they sit perfectly against the wall during installation, similar to how power sockets work. So far, I've only seen faceplace, modules, and surface mount boxes—not wall-mounted ones? Am I missing something important? I've attached my planned express order for the communications equipment. Need some help!

Yes, you're referring to Ethernet sockets or keystone elements.

In short, the design needs to support the entire box depth so mounts can be placed neatly on the exterior. It's more complicated when working with wood or drywall since the boxes sit next to studs. For concrete, you need to cut a space where the conduit ends inside. Thin walls present problems, and adding keystone jacks means the box depth must fit the keystone length plus wiring. While loose cables are fine, they disrupt the clean, flush appearance.

They should work with typical single electrical outlet back boxes.
