Gmail stops letting apps read emails when you try to set something up to scan them into a file.
Hi, I bought a Brother printer MFC9330CDW. I tried setting up scan to email by following these steps: https://help.brother-usa.com/app/an...ow...ail-server The email address I used is [email protected] (which is not real). On the Gmail settings, I had to turn on "less secure app access." Everything worked fine at first, but a few days later that option got turned off. What should I do to stop Gmail from turning it off? If there isn't a fix here, what are other options? Thanks! Note: I know how to set up 2-step verification for Outlook and Thunderbird or on my phone, but this is not the case.
Turn off the less-secure apps setting, create a Google app password, and use it to log into your brother's printer.
Turn off the less-secure apps setting, make a new Google app password, and use it with your brother's printer.
