The process involves repeatedly pressing certain keys, frequently the DEL key, to trigger a setup action.
The issue has been fixed. Once I updated Windows, applied the previous version of the NVIDIA drivers for the old school 2016 model, and started M, Y PC in safe mode, it began working. After that, I reinstalled the monitor via Device Manager, and everything functioned properly. Many others have faced the same problem, and as it turned out to me, ASUS support stated they couldn't help and won't. I might share this on other forums! Disappointing for you, ASUS.
Issue resurfaced again. The main challenge is the newest NVIDIA driver. Even though the PC runs smoothly—especially with an external monitor plugged in—I see the laptop’s main display still shows the backlight but nothing else. Although Windows and NVIDIA recognize it as a monitor, no settings can be adjusted. I’m thinking of installing the 2021 July driver I had before and hoping it works?
