Hi there, Yesterday I tried TweakBit to refresh the PC drivers, but after restarting it wouldn’t come back online. The only indicator lighting up is the CPU light, and the system restarts immediately afterward. Here are the steps I attempted:
- Shut down the power supply, press power button to turn it on
- Switched power supply on and off while pressing reset and power button together
- Turned off the power supply, turned it back on, held the power button for 5 seconds until the PC shut down, then pressed it again
- Removed the MB battery overnight and reinserted it in the morning
- Ran CLR_CMOS
- Disconnected CPU, GPU, memory, and HDDs
- Let the PC reboot itself for a few minutes to see if backup BIOS activates
I’m not eager to replace the motherboard just yet, fearing another component might be faulty. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks, Felipe
You might use a Windows installation USB to check the issue. Swap in the key and let it test the problem. Replace the RAM and other cards if needed. Gently shake the power connectors to verify they’re secure. Unplug all other drivers except the boot drive.
I don't think I can. The pc is not booting, and it doesn't have any video output. I've detached everything from the motherboard, and then was attaching one by one back to the board and trying to turn it on, no success. same behavior. Done already. same behavior. Thanks fast!
You're already evaluating your current setup. Based on your configuration, I suggest sticking with a reliable power supply and considering a mid-range to high-end CPU if you're looking to upgrade. Your existing components seem solid, but upgrading the PSU or exploring a better GPU might enhance performance.
