Gigabyte Titan Ridge Thunderbolt PCIe card featuring AMD technology
Can someone confirm whether it's feasible to use a Gigabyte Titan Ridge PCIe card with your ASUS ROG Strix x570 motherboard? I understand that Thunderbolt is usually reserved for Intel boards and those with a dedicated Thunderbolt header. You're curious about connecting via Thunderbolt without swapping your AMD Ryzen CPU. If you have any experience with this configuration, please share! Thanks!
I also explored PCI-e cards before, but uncertainty about support and some confusing posts made me lose interest quickly. Eventually, I checked their site and saw that x570 gigabyte boards are now compatible with XTreme and Master boards—though it seems like a bit of a technical handshake is involved.
I notice you're running an AMD Ryzen 3950x, which means you won't be able to use Threadripper motherboards.
