Hello everyone, I own a Gigabyte GA-78LMT USB3 Version 6.0 with a Gigabyte GA-78LMT USB3 overclocked to 4.5ghz. I adjusted the Vcore in the BIOS to 1.4200 and it runs stably when using Prime95, though the VRMs get warm and the chokes become even hotter. I have two intake fans at the front, two at the top, and one exhaust fan at the back. The VRM heatsink doesn’t burn me if I touch it briefly; the chokes are almost burning my finger. Is it safe to run this setup continuously? Also, if I can keep the components cool enough so the chokes don’t overheat, is it safe to operate it 24/7? I used the multiplier to reach 22.5 and turned off the turbo core—anyone know the maximum Vcore voltage this board can handle at 1.45V?

You could possibly achieve a better original character on that point, yet the cost for that gigabyte option is really great.

I would like a fan for those components, maybe even small heatsinks. The cooler the better for running them. Also, I wouldn't increase the voltage more than 1.45. I added heatsinks to the chokes of my Asus M4A79XTD EVO because at 1.7V they became hot. I also have a blower fan that I plan to use to push air through the heatsinks.

The same response remains, indicating a budget board and suggesting it will be damaged.

Here are some motherboard options you might consider for your AMD FX 4300, FX 6300, and 8350. For overclocking the 8350 to 4.5-4.7, what would be the best choice among these? #1 Gigabyte GA-990FXA UD3 R5 1.0 #2 ASUS 970 PRO GAMING/AURA #3 ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0
