Gigabyte DS3H B450 model not responding to BIOS updates
I understand the situation, and I've got cooling on the VRMs. However, a tiny overclocking won't damage the VRM or require more voltage and won't cause problems. My concern is that applying a single jump OC, like increasing from 30 to 31 (3.1 GHz), might prevent BIOS OC from working properly. That's why I'm wondering why the BIOS fails even with just a small step-up, not aiming for world records on this chip.
Did you run a test on the OC or just verify it using CPUz? Stability during idle doesn't guarantee overall stability.
I really don’t have a viable option since a 1.35V overclock at 3.5GHz should be sufficient. A 1.3V could be slightly off.
