I own an Aorus K5 Z270 board paired with an i5' 7600k. I previously used the overclock presets, but my friend warned me they might be harmful. After experimenting, I tried manual overlocking, but the CPU core frequency remained stuck regardless of attempts. I’m struggling to find anyone else facing this issue and would really value your assistance.

More information would be useful. A screenshot of HW Info or CPUz would be a good beginning. Also, screenshots of your "locked" core frequency from the bios would be helpful.
