I’m assembling a new PC and encountering flashing warning lights on the MOBO during POST. The DRAM and CPU indicators are red. I’ve updated the BIOS and removed the CMOS battery, but the issue persists. My system is a GIGABYTE B650 Gaming X AX with only the PSU, CPU, and one RAM stick installed (in the A2 slot). All fans are functioning correctly, and the Corsair iCUE H115i Elite Capellix Liquid cooler is working. I’ve used two different RAM modules, but neither G.Skill F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR nor Corsair CMH32GX5M2B5600Z36K in the A2 slot. I connected a functional monitor and speakers, yet no beeps appear. The RGB lighting looks good, but the device still won’t boot. I’m starting to suspect a problem with the MOBO itself. Did I overlook something? Thank you for your help. This is my first build, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Gigabyte eSupport hasn’t responded to my questions, and it’s been nearly a week.

I went through the process of refreshing the bios, but it seems the latest ones haven’t been applied yet. It’s definitely a bit of work to fix these issues, though it’s probably the most common thing I’ve encountered.

I saved the newest BIOS from the Gigabyte support site onto a fresh USB flash drive. I placed the drive into the USB port marked "USB BIOS" on the motherboard and pressed the Q-Flash button on the MOBO. The small yellow indicator blinked for about a minute, as described in the manual. I was counting on that to resolve the issue, but it didn’t work. Next, I removed the CMOS battery for 20 minutes after turning off the power and pressing the case start button to discharge the capacitors. Still no success. I have some time today, so I plan to take out the MOBO and test it outside the case to see if the same outcome occurs.

MOBO was taken out of the case and placed on an anti-static mat. Identical outcome.
