Hey everyone, I usually avoid forum questions since socializing feels intimidating, but I really need some guidance. I'm thinking about upgrading from my Ryzen 5 2600 when Zen 3 is released. Now that I have a job and some money to spend, I want this upgrade to stand out. I’m aiming for a certain look with my new system, which makes me excited about this particular build. I’m still learning a lot about computers—overclocking CPUs and RAM are on my list—and I hope I can try it out eventually. I understand it’s not the most cost-effective option, but I’m willing to pay a bit more if it fits what I want. I’m gradually getting more interested and eager to learn, so when the time comes, I’ll have the chance to give it a shot and see if there’s even a noticeable improvement. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, and I apologize if this has been asked before. I saw others wondering about overclocking too, but I was hoping to hear from someone who’s actually done it on this kind of rig.
You're looking at what you'll be using the system for. The Vision D has a solid concept but comes at a higher price compared to its features. If you prefer a whiteboard, the B550 Strix A is a strong option, though it lacks support for Zen and won't run the 2600 with the Vision D.
What you include will be completely based on the price. I’m trying to reach 5700x or more, but I’m in Australia and the PC parts scene here feels as unpredictable as a watch from another time. I’m ready to pay the premium for that unique look, as long as it doesn’t turn into a messy glitter disaster.
