Hey there, I just changed my BIOS from F32 to F51 on my Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite. Right after that, I noticed some stability problems with my RAM. With BIOS F32 I could run at 3000Mhz, but under the new version it became very unstable. If I set my RAM above 2400Mhz it would not start, fail to boot, or become erratic in Windows. My main concern is whether I can safely revert to the stable F32 BIOS or reflash it back. I understand that if everything works fine now, leaving the BIOS alone might be best, but my RAM didn’t reach its full speed. Updating BIOS could help, though I’m worried it might cause more issues. I’ve reached out to Gigabyte’s support, but their server seems down and they’re timing out when I ask. I’m using an AMD Ryzen 7 2700x with 32Gb DDR4-3200 RAM on a Gigabyte B450 Elite. Any advice or guidance would be really helpful.
Download the f32 BIOS from the Gigabyte site and use this updated version to replace your existing one if needed.
Thanks for the input. Initially I considered proceeding, but after more research I noticed mixed advice. Some believe it's safe with certain BIOS versions, while others warn it could damage your hardware. I reached out to Gigabyte for confirmation but haven't received a response yet. Do you have any background on what you're trying to achieve?
I completed it once a few years ago on the Z97 board and it functioned perfectly, which is why I said that.
