I've just started setting up secure boot on my PC, ready for games that need it and planning to upgrade to Windows 11. But now when it boots, it shows a black screen and jumps straight to Windows 10 login—no BIOS option and the delete key doesn’t help. The BIOS is a gigabyte Aorus X570 Elite. Looking up online, it looks like turning off CSM (which is needed for secure boot) makes the system only display the BIOS through HDMI. I’ve managed to access the BIOS using a camera monitor before. Is anyone aware of a solution that lets DisplayPort work with secure boot and the BIOS?

You might be connecting the cable through the motherboard instead of the graphics card, or your graphics card may now display only the monitor output via HDMI.

I believe the card and motherboard only display the BIOS through HDMI after the update. The desktop functions normally over DisplayPort using the graphics card. When the PC starts up now, it appears as a completely black screen until Windows loads. However, connecting an HDMI monitor to the GPU shows the BIOS and allows access before disabling Secure Boot. I'm checking if anyone has discovered a method to restore that functionality.

I'm unsure why turning off CSM or activating Secure Boot would make a difference. But with my old RTX 2060 Super, I noticed that the only available DP was the one on the right side by itself. The others on the other side didn't work, and HDMI took over. Have you considered switching to another DP?

Legend! I didn’t realize this existed, had used the 1080Ti for years without knowing about a DP firmware update. This has resolved the issue and it’s now working again. It’s strange how changing the BIOS settings caused it to stop. But at least there’s a fix. Exactly what I needed! Thanks!
