Gigabyte A320M-S2H upgrade guide Overclocking tips and techniques for this model
Hey everyone. I've got a minor issue with my overclocking setup. My system uses a [MOBO] GIGABYTE A320M-S2H-CF (Bios F22b), paired with an AMD Ryzen 5 1500X and a Ryzen Wraith Spire cooler. I'm running 3.8 GHz CPU and 2933 RAM, which worked fine for stability. However, temperatures spiked to 89–93°C during playback of Witcher 3. After adjusting back to 3.6 GHz, the GPU hit 90°C while gaming. I checked with HWinfo64 and NZXT Cam Software. My main concerns are: 1) Excessive heat, and 2) The GPU making noise when it's quiet. Possible fixes: either a different case or a better cooler. Since I prefer a compact build, I'm okay with my current setup but worried about the GPU getting hotter. If I switch to a smaller AIO cooler like a 120mm model, would that really help? Any of you have faced similar problems? Thanks!
I understand you can boost memory speeds on A320 chipsets, but CPU overclocking isn't supported here. Try reducing the voltage to the minimum safe level, making sure the system remains stable under stress tests. If that doesn’t work, consider alternatives. Wraith Spire remains a decent cooler.
It gives me the freedom to customize settings now. Bios offered this feature before, and it performed well. What level should I adjust it to? I haven’t touched voltage much, so I’m unsure where to begin.
For those who revisit this discussion later, the GA-A320M-S2H V2 is capable of overclocking because it features a B350 chip instead of an A320.
