I discovered a USB hub on Amazon featuring Gigabit Ethernet and three USB-A 3.2 ports. My goal is to back up USB 3 hard drives to a NAS, which requires both the Ethernet connection and the hub to function at the same time. The hub’s ports support Gen3.2, suggesting a minimum of 5Gbps bandwidth. Based on your usage—120MBps for reading and 1Gbps for Ethernet—that leaves about 3Gbps of available capacity. Performance should remain adequate, but could there be other factors affecting speed or stability?

Usb theoretical speed is generally delivered in brief spikes, while actual performance during normal use tends to be significantly lower than the bus's maximum capacity.
