I believe the most joyful moment in my life happened when I grew up in the Atherton Tablelands, surrounded by a rich tropical rainforest. The school I attended was quite remote, with some kids even riding horses to class; we had stables at the oval’s back. During holidays I’d sometimes bring my bow and arrows along with my .22 rifle, follow the river into the woods, and fish, hunt, or camp. Those carefree, innocent days are now far removed from my adult life, though I still enjoyed sharing them. P.S.: Oops, it’s almost over, but I was still happy to talk about it!
