You have a fresh PC without any OS installed. You aim to set up Windows 10 Pro and plan to purchase the license from eBay or Kinguin. You're unsure where to download it or how to proceed after installation. You also want to know about the reliability of keys sold on those sites and whether buying a USB drive is safer.

I don’t have a way to confirm the authenticity, but a Windows 10 ISO copy is available on the official Microsoft site.

I tried kinquin earlier and it functioned well, but you can opt for PayPal to receive a refund if needed.

I received a key from eBay with an installer that worked fine. I’d prefer a custom installer if it’s more cost-effective, but noticed it could be simpler to purchase a pre-installed key since creating one was complicated. I also made a bootable USB for a friend as an alternative.

With a USB stick ready, you can pair it using a key from eBay or Kinguin https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software.../windows10

I do not recommend buying keys from unauthorized third party resellers as you have no guarantee that they will work / aren't stolen / already used. Buying with PayPal does, help, but there's a grey line between what constitutes a fulfilled / delivered product key vs. whether the key actually works or not, so be careful of this too. There's absolutely a good chance that keys from third party resellers will work, at least during initial activation, as they want to make sure they get your money of course, but since they're not an authorized reseller you have no recourse should the key stop working down the road. Personally, I would recommend buying the Windows 10 Retail with USB or at least DVD so you know you're getting a legit copy of Windows, and you get a hard copy of the installation medium as well.

I don't discuss keys. You can download the installer from the official MS website, burn it onto any USB drive with at least 8GB space, and run it. You get a 30-day free trial with no restrictions, after which it becomes limited—no background, watermark, or popups allowed.

What you said is exactly what i was worry about, that the key might stop working in the future should microsoft decide to blacklist it. I'm not sure if it will damage my pc when that happens or not but that is what I'm afraid off. If I buy something like this from ebay https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Microsoft-Wi....l4275.c10 its is a retailer version $110 is it much safer than the keys ? If I go to say officerwork and buy windows 10 pro it cost me around $250 aud. Buying it from ebay save me a ton but Im not sure if its a legit version. would appreciate your insights

Frustrating. Purchasing components in Australia is even worse than Canada’s PC market issues, which is why I empathize. It’d be more affordable for a Canadian friend to order it online and deliver it with tracking or simply hand you the key. Personally, I wouldn’t trust eBay sales since they’re not from verified authorized sellers, though that’s just my opinion. For clarity, Windows won’t harm your PC directly—only if the key is stolen or fake, your installation will be impacted, so you can reinstall or buy a genuine key later without problems. Here are some links for Windows 10 Pro in Canada and Australia:
- Amazon.ca – Windows 10 Pro Flash Drive
- Newegg Australia – Windows 10 Pro
- MWAU – Windows 10 Pro OEM DVD
- Umart – Windows 10 Pro 64bit OEM DVD
If you have a Canadian friend, I’d strongly consider getting Windows 10 Pro for them and handle shipping details afterward, or obtain the keycode from them yourself to create your own USB/DVD using Microsoft’s official tools.

Affordable keys are typically from the grey market. They come from trusted sources and usually begin around $80 for home OEM models, rising to $150 for retail in the US (the price is roughly similar in EUR). The choice depends on your needs—either invest in a full price or opt for a lower cost to obtain a stripped key from bulk packs sold to larger companies or institutions. The same applies to premium versions; consider whether you truly require advanced features and adjust your spending accordingly.
