Getting stuck on laptop internet issues?
Hey everyone! My ASUS Zephyrus G14 is acting crazy now. This old laptop is famous for having internet problems. The best way to fix it? Put in a new Intel AX200 wifi card, but I already did that back when the computer was brand new two years ago. Now it still doesn't work at all. Even though my connection shows up as active and says it's connected, everything else fails: websites don't load fast enough, and the speed just looks fake like 1-10 MBps. It makes zero sense because I can't actually get any internet anywhere. I'm ready to check every single command line or device manager setting to try to fix this laptop. I'll spend $1400 on a new card if nothing else helps, but please give me some advice or suggestions before I go down that road alone.
I will try checking if the laptop's BIOS needs any updates. Then I'll try reinstalling the operating system after making a bootable USB with Windows Media Creation Tools. When installing the OS, stay off the internet. After the OS is set up, I'll install driver programs for my specific hardware by right-clicking on the installer and choosing "Run as Administrator".
