Getting stuck after an update was paused Changes can't be saved until you resume the process
It appears my friend's mom shut down her laptop during an update and now it keeps looping to the undoing changes screen without progress. I've attempted to boot into safe mode by force shutting it down, checked via the command prompt on the USB installation media, and pressed Shift/F8 repeatedly without success. I'm considering a fresh Windows install, but they're concerned about losing important files. I'm also planning to create a bootable OS USB drive as a backup. Edit: initially the boot option worked but then crashed.
