My configuration details
Intel 6600k processor
Noctua nhd14 CPU cooler with three fans
16GB Corsair 3000MHz RAM (8x2 configuration)
Asus Strix GTX 1070 GPU
Asus Z170-P motherboard
Corsair TX series power supply with 650W output
I previously overclocked AMD systems but never worked with Intel, aiming for 4.5GHz; should I simply adjust the multiplier and set Vcore to 1.3V, conducting tests and reducing voltage if successful?
Additionally, what testing procedures should I perform using Intel?
Begin the Vcore at a low level and gradually raise it in small steps until the output constant stabilizes.
I prefer XTU during testing since it doesn't overly strain the CPU.
Make sure to configure the voltage mode as fixed during stress tests so the motherboard doesn't introduce additional voltage.
