I recently installed GTA V on my Predator Helios 300 PH317-53 and despite adjusting the settings, I consistently see 40fps as if it's capped. I'm confused about why the frame rate stays at 40 even though I have a 144Hz monitor and powerful hardware that should allow higher performance.

I don't have specific details about the settings you mentioned. Could you clarify what you're referring to?

Ensure all your drivers are current and experiment with the game settings. I understand that FPS can drop significantly when MSAA is enabled in GTA V. By default, your display might be set to 60Hz, so when Vsync is active the game's FPS is limited to the refresh rate. You can adjust your refresh rate in the NVIDIA control panel. Based on what I found, you might have a GPU such as GTX 1660 or 1660 Ti.
