how is that possible? Are you sure that its not wireless connecting to a tower like a cellular tower? The reason there is a 4000 ms ping is because of the time it takes for the sattelite on my room to communicate with the sattelite in space. I think that he has wireless internet. Also there is a bandwidth limit. You get 10gbs a month and once that is used up your get FAPed. What FAP is it is Free Access Policy meaning that your speeds are slowed down to about 20 kb/s instead of 500 kb/s.

It could be WiFi. I also have that type of link. It functions really well, even in poor weather, because it uses the 5 GHz band and I’m just 100 meters from the main tower.

You need high-speed internet to play Dota, even for matches against real players. Satellite connections probably won’t work well. Consider changing your internet service if possible.
