Do you have a Mac available? If yes, you can retrieve the install file from the app storage and place it there.

Your Mac Mini is making its way back to you soon, and it was borrowed from someone else until their new setup comes along.

You're encountering an issue with the SSD not erasing properly, even though it's a brand-new device. This could be due to driver problems, firmware issues, or incorrect settings. Checking the manufacturer's support site or contacting their service team might help. Also, ensure the SSD is properly seated and connected to the correct port.

I press erase, then configure the GUID partition table, click accept but it crashes right away with that error. "Erase process failed, click done to continue." I experienced this before with the older drive, yet it still lists the Kingston SSD properly! Also, the cable I used last year was brand new.

I'm confused about this situation. If it were a Windows laptop, I'd handle it easily, but it keeps refusing to partition anything. The drive is detected, but partitioning fails right away—exactly what it was before. Even though the cable was fresh last year and wasn't expensive, it still doesn’t work. If it needs another one, it’s just thrown away.
