During today's testing I'm still struggling to reach 4.9 stability. Either I'm not doing it right or my CPU is acting up. Should I try increasing the voltage beyond 1.35? I saw that's generally safe, but MSI suggests 1.42 for a 9600kHz at 5GHz. I didn’t think to go that high.

I just reviewed that guide. I attempted to configure it per core, but the same paragraph recommends disabling turbo boost while others suggest turning it off. It was a bit confusing. I’ll stick with 4.8ghz @1.28v without any VCCIO offset and SA set to 1.05 and 1.10. It ran OCCT for two hours with XMP active, stayed stable at a max of 70-72°C, and the system ran nearly silent. Idle temps were around 42-45°C. When I tried 4.9ghz with XMP, it crashed instantly in OCCT even at 1.35v. I experimented with auto voltage settings, but it peaked at 1.42 under 4.9ghz. Thanks for the advice!

Quick update. Found the culprit for the instability. After I read a few articles I set the uncore frequency to 4.5ghz most of my stability issues are gone. Higher uncore with xmp just doesnt play nice with my setup. I realised 4.8ghz core clock was stable because I always set uncore to 3x lower than the actual core frequency and it was at 4.5ghz lol. Right now Im at [email protected] with a -1 avx offset and it seems stable. I ran aida64 and occt for 1 hour and passed intel xtu a few times. Probably could go lower with the voltage, I'll try tomorrow. I enabled speedstep to lower idle temps and adjusted the case and cpu fan curve for the hellish temps outside this weekBig Grin Thanks for the help!
