you should check with your team first before proceeding. after breaking my i7 7700k, i thought about upgrading to an i9 and choosing either a 7800x or 7820x. the main point is that you’ll need to create a system image of your current raid setup and restore it later if you switch to the new processor. there’s no simpler alternative—upgrading hardware means adjusting your existing data structure accordingly.
