You bought a budget wireless game pad that resembles an Xbox 360 controller. It works with Windows 11 and some games like TMNT SR, Minecraft, and Roblox. But others such as RL, Fall Guys, Asphalt 8, or emulators don’t recognize it. This is confusing. The device has multiple modes, and by default it uses Xinput, which seems correct. You mentioned you could switch to Dinput, though that might not be ideal. Need advice on fixing this issue? Thanks!

It seems to be mostly due to its lower cost.

Steam input might influence certain devices. The Windows Devices view displays this information. It appears the system interprets it as an Xbox controller.

I don’t rely on Steam. The Windows BT displays the controller as “Wireless Controller.” It’s connected and functions in certain games. I’m unsure about how Windows identifies the controller, whether it’s an Xbox model or another type.

When you link it via USB, it appears in Windows USB Game Controllers as "Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows)" yet the controls don't respond. You can switch modes by connecting with USB and R1+power, then it shows up in WUGC as "Mocute-USB-NS" intended for Nintendo Switch AFAIU. Still, no buttons function in Windows or within any games.

I was unfamiliar with Xpadder. I’ll give it a shot (if it’s free) and let you know how it goes.

It's strange that certain games function with this controller while others don't, isn't it?

Affordable items often sacrifice quality, which means this device might not have been compatible well enough.

It seems the setup might not be adhering strictly to all guidelines for a PC controller. Dinput mode could function as a backup, particularly in emulators where it usually works fine.
