Considering your options, weighing the pros and cons makes sense. The 7600X comes with a higher price tag—about 150 euros more—while the 5600 series offers a more budget-friendly choice. Factoring in RAM and motherboard costs, it might feel like overspending for your current budget. Whether it’s wise to build a 5000 system now depends on your needs and how much you’re willing to invest.

Ryzen 5000 remains a solid option for budget builds, and the 5800X3D chip can challenge Intel's performance. (But I wouldn't suggest a fresh setup with this chip—it's better suited as an upgrade to an older AM4 platform.) Consider checking out the latest boards and the planning subforum to share your budget and goals.

I recently assembled a Ryzen 5600 build using gifts from Christmas. Unless you require top-tier performance, it’s not surprising I didn’t label it as weak; it’s a 5000-series setup, which may not match most users. Still, I’m happy it runs smoothly and handles everything better, plus it supports Switch emulation.

Unreal Engine 5 represents a major advancement in gaming with its Lumen technology, while Fortnight remains the sole title available at the moment. You might want to check online resources to find benchmark results for Fortnight using Zen 3 and Zen 4. This could help you understand the required CPU and PCIe generation for upcoming systems.

Appears only in specific titles. X3D tends to be a performance-heavy engine beyond that.

The slowest performance occurs between the 5700X and 5800X, two strong gaming processors. The quickest speeds are seen with the absolute top gaming chip in existence—check its Factorio score—it’s truly lightning-fast. Overall, most games lag just a bit behind the 12900K, which is Intel’s leading gaming processor.

Sure, I understand. I also have one. It works well for games, but it can be a bit slow when not playing them.
