I recently acquired a new GPU and have been experiencing problems with my PC that seem to stem from a single setting or hardware fault, though I’m unable to pinpoint the exact cause. My main usage is playing Overwatch, and most issues center around it: I consistently achieve 200-240 FPS on average, occasionally drop to around 5 frames low and 2 fps high, and games frequently crash. The disk becomes fully utilized unexpectedly, while downloading games over gigabit internet and using a brand new SSD are extremely slow—often sitting at just 1 kb/s when network usage is minimal, and the system fails on everything. There’s no evidence of overclocking, everything except BIOS is up to date, and temperatures remain normal. The system wasn’t always flawless; most components are several years old. My GPU model is I7-8700 ASUS TUF RTX 3060 TI with M.2 slots, Corsair Vengeance Intel RM700 CPU, Crucial P2 1 TB M.2 drive (sorry for the low quality).

The system in general. “Destroy everything with fire” isn’t a precise fix, but it might work for a software issue.

It seems we might find a quicker solution eventually. The focus shifts to whether delaying for improvement actually saves time overall.
