I’m curious about the similarities and differences. I posted a question a few days ago, and so far there’s nothing. They emphasize time-shift features and ease of use. I’d prefer the Mate option, but it doesn’t exist. Also, the software isn’t widely available in the Solus Software Centre.

Garuda is a disorganized collection managed by individuals lacking clear direction. They mainly browse the Wiki and AUR for terms like "Gaming" or "Performance" and simply install anything they find, even if it doesn't fit or causes issues. Personally, I advise against it. A more logical configuration could use Manjaro, Chaotic-AUR, TKG's BMQ Kernel, Wine, Proton, and Mesa Builds—all pre-compiled in Chaotic-AUR. I’m not familiar with Solus, but I think it would be a better alternative than what Garuda is attempting.

Solus stands out as my top choice because they genuinely invested in building a robust steam runtime setup for the entire Garuda team. While I’m confident Solus would likely feel more refined out of the box, it was actually the first Linux distribution that made me realize I could work comfortably without relying on the terminal.
