Gaming routers are devices that boost internet speed for gaming.
Hello, welcome! No problem at all—feel free to ask any questions you have. I own a high-end PC and am considering getting a new router to enhance my gaming setup. I’ve looked into top gaming routers that focus on smooth performance under heavy usage from multiple devices, prioritizing gaming devices for better Wi-Fi speed and connection stability. If you’re not connected to the LAN, these routers can also help improve ping and overall connection quality. I’m a bit new to this, live alone, have just one device (PC) connected via Ethernet, and I’m curious about how different routers might help beyond just swapping models. Any tips or alternatives would be appreciated—maybe someone else has a video on this topic?
Gaming routers are just hype with no real benefit. They won’t lower your ping or anything beyond your local connection, regardless of what they claim. Unless your internet is already full and you’re not bothered to set up QoS yourself, these devices are pointless and overblown.
