hey
so i was able to run most games on max setting with no problem but sudenly its laging like crazy on the lowest setting i ran a benchmark test but i dont know were to go from there please help

That screams temp issue. Run the benchmark again with msi afterburner on and see what the cpu temp has for a max when it's done.

ok so according to the afterburner the temp for my cpu is running around 185 degrees Fahrenheit how do i fix this

Is your processor running at an elevated clock speed? Replace the central processing unit and its cooler, and apply fresh thermal adhesive.

it appears the issue stemmed from the fact that the heat sink wasn't securely fastened; it was detached.
