One thing they didn't cover in the video is if you can use the integrated GPU for linux then the gpu for pass through. I see no reason why you couldn't.

The Wine approach is independent of the graphics card chosen. With virtualization, compatibility issues may arise with Nvidia cards due to driver restrictions in Windows. You must activate a KVM feature that masks the VM’s signature, enabling smooth operation.

maybe i’m not sure which laptop with dual GPUs I actually own—there’s a Toshiba from 2010 with an ATI graphics card and an integrated one.

Your CPU can handle VT-d or the corresponding AMD feature, and if you have a video output port linked to the motherboard rather than the graphics card, it works.
