I'm experiencing this problem while playing games on my TV. I'm trying to figure out the root cause. My setup includes: Ryzen 5 7600x, Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT, PULSE 20GB graphics card, CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM (32GB, 2x16GB), 6000MHz CL36, AMD EXPO iCUE compatible memory, Gigabyte AM5 B650 Gaming X AX motherboard, Samsung 990 PRO 1TB PCIe 4.0 with up to 7450 MB/s NVMe M.2 (2280) SSD, and a BeQuiet 850w power supply. Windows 11 Pro is installed, and all drivers and firmware are current as of Sunday, November 5th.
Originally, the system ran smoothly on my TV for about three weeks without issues while I was moving out of storage. After that, I connected three 1080p monitors, and everything continued fine. Recently, I reconnected the cable to the TV and attempted to play the same games, but now it's experiencing frequent crashes—sometimes mid-game, sometimes just when launching an app. It happens regardless of whether I'm playing online or using cloud services.
The TV is running 4K at 120Hz with HDR, supporting games like Forza Motorsport, GTA V, Flight Simulator (except MSFS), and Forza 5. These titles worked perfectly initially when the PC was first set up on the TV without any crashes. I disabled AMD EXPO to rule it out but saw no improvement. I've turned off all overclocking features and run the system at stock settings to narrow down the cause. Temperatures are normal; I usually use a high fan curve, but even at 100% fan speed, crashes still occur.
In the Windows logs, I see a generic Kernel-Power error during the crashes. My assumption is it's related to one of the RAM modules. I'm planning to order a CL30 kit soon but need advice on what might be causing this issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
