I’ll begin with some details to clear things up * The main unit is still a prebuilt MSI Aegis RS-002 US model * It’s been at least six months since I last modified this setup but I have the Corsair H150i Elite Capellix cooler for the CPU instead of the original fan * Overall it follows that MSI prebuilt version * If you’re not interested in checking that specific version—* RTX 2060 Super * 16 GB DDR4 XPG RAM (2x8GB) at 3000 MHz * I7-9700 * MSI Z390-A Pro Motherboard To the specifics about the gameplay and browsing experience, my system will unexpectedly freeze. It doesn’t typically power off but just stops functioning completely. There’s a buzzing noise from the speakers whenever it freezes. Another occurrence is losing connection to monitors while still running, even though it’s frozen. I’ve tried reinstalling and updating the graphics drivers, resetting Windows back to factory defaults, and I don’t have crash logs beyond forced shutdowns. My OS has been updated to both Windows 10 and 11, but the problem continues. Otherwise, I haven’t done much, so I’m ready to explore various troubleshooting steps before moving forward.

Have you refreshed the bios yet? Consider setting RAM to 2666; 3000 might be slightly higher than what the CPU controller supports.

I have it, but I’ll proceed by configuring RAM values. I’ll keep you updated once it’s confirmed.

Alright did that and pc once again froze and become unresponsive. The RAM I had it set to auto to begin with but after setting it to 2666 it didn't change much and still went out. Update- I also did memtest and it came back 100% good with no errors so it's not a RAM issue so it seems.

It seems like the problem might not be related to RAM. I'll verify using one stick at a time just to rule it out. I'd consider running briefly without the GPU, especially on the 9700's built-in card. If you have another system, testing the GPU there would be helpful.

It seems I’m the only machine available for testing. Running memtest on a single drive didn’t reveal any issues.
