Gaming Desk/ Furniture
Gaming Desk/ Furniture
Hi everyone.
I’m not sure if this is the right place to share this, but after checking other forums, I realized this isn’t about gaming itself. The threads here focus on "Peripherals," specifically a gaming desk. I’ve looked through Amazon.com and found many options, with "Furmax" and "Vitesse" being popular choices.
I came across the Vitesse model here:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JTHFFM...1-...67fc737124&th=1
It has received over four stars in reviews. However, I know from experience that not all ratings are genuine—some reviews may be influenced by payment incentives.
Sometimes I check the lowest-rated items (like 1-star) to see exactly what people criticize. In this case, whether it’s the Vitesse desk or the Furmax model, there are some recurring issues.
I searched for the company’s website and contact details, then reached out to them about the Vitesse product sold on Amazon. I mentioned the main concerns I noticed:
- The assembly instructions are unclear and hard to follow.
- The desk’s main surface is split into two parts instead of one solid piece, making it uneven when assembled.
- Some components have pre-drilled holes that don’t align properly, making it difficult to insert screws smoothly.
The manufacturer responded with a brief message:
"Hello, you can check the recent comments for purchase guidance. If you encounter any issues after delivery, feel free to contact us—we’ll ensure a smooth after-sales service."
I didn’t receive a reply and have since ignored their follow-ups.
I also tried reaching out to Amazon Support to confirm if Vitesse was an authorized seller on their site. Their response was unhelpful, like a screen door in a submarine.
In short, I’m trying to be ahead of the game by addressing these points before buying, but so far, no one has responded to my concerns.
I asked for recommendations from others who’ve used gaming desks, hoping someone with positive experiences could help.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Just to address a common misunderstanding, adding "gaming" to a part or furniture doesn't necessarily enhance its value beyond enabling brands to charge slightly more than the original price. I’m familiar with individuals who use adjustable sit-stand desks—some of which are mechanical in design. There are also cases where furniture like Lian-Li’s is integrated into the structure, with the system built directly into the tabletop. If you’re unsure, consider checking out your local hardware or furniture store or asking someone to create a custom desk for you. Supporting local businesses makes sense.
