CPU: AMD 5 7600 (non X, should I be concerned about limiting the GPU at 1440p?)
Motherboard: MSI B650 gaming PLUS WIFI (no overclocking planned)
RAM: Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 5600MHz 32GB Dual Channel

Storage: Kingston KC3000 M.2 2280 NVMe SSD 2TB
Case: Fractal North Charcoal Black Mesh Mid Tower (appeals, but I’m concerned about GPU space. TUF is 35.29cm and the case caps at 35.5cm)

Main reason for upgrade: My current system is from 2015 with a 4690k and 970 MSI GPU... so yes.
In my view, the RX 7900 XT is significantly more than necessary for 1440p currently.
This doesn’t ignore the truth that higher power consumption extends the lifespan of the hardware.
If your goal is to achieve 165FPS at 144Hz across all games, you’re welcome to proceed.
However, if you target around 165FPS in FPS titles such as CSGO or Valorant and are okay with lower FPS in more demanding AAA games, you can opt for a more affordable card and enhance the rest of your system:
