choose a streamlined narrative with simpler systems, blending Tomb Raider's action but focusing on fewer story elements. pick Stalker's atmosphere and tension without expansive open worlds. consider Mass Effect 2 & 3 for deeper sci-fi themes.

It relies on your definition of 'like metro'. I'd say the Crysis lineup, Fallout, and The Outer Worlds all share some similarities.

From my own playthroughs, these titles stand out for their engaging narratives: Tomb Raider 2013, Rise of the Tomb Raider, BioShock series (avoid remasters), Resident Evil 4, DarkSiders 1 & 2, Crysis 1 & 2, Dead Space 1 & 2, Warhammer 40k Space Marine, Batman Arkham series, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, Left 4 Dead 1 & 2. I’m not sure what genres you enjoy, but these have strong storylines for me.
