Games run slow when using high frame rates and low refresh rates

Hey everyone, I just got the scarIII g531gw gaming laptop (i7 9900 rtx 2070, 16GB RAM, 2666MHz). At first, my games ran really smooth. Now they feel slow and choppy. For example, in Warzone it was supposed to run at 100 FPS but it only hits around 30 FPS. The mouse also feels heavy. I tried a few more games with the same settings, but the issue stayed the same—high FPS but low frame rates. I checked for viruses, cleared cache and temp files, even ran disk cleanup, but nothing helped. Please help me, I’m really sorry for the bad English.

It seems the issue might be connected to the refresh rate, typically around 50Hz or 30Hz. Ensure your display supports G-SYNC if applicable.

the refresh rate is acceptable while sync is disabled. my 240 hz model works without issues, display functions normally during games. however, after 2-3 matches it starts to feel sluggish. temperatures are normal—cpu at 86°C and gpu at 69-73°C.
