Hello everyone, welcome! I'm just starting out here. My PC setup includes an Aorus Z590I Ultra (rev1), 32 Gigs of G-Skill SK Hynix DDR-4-3200 memory, a dual-channel Intel Core I7 11700K CPU, an EVGA RTX 3070ti graphics card, and a 8MB graphics card. My power supply is a Thremaltake tough power unit with 750W output. The issue began with COD MW2; I'd play the game for 10 to 20 minutes and encounter BSODs or Activision crash codes. After trying all possible fixes, I checked the BIOS settings and disabled XMB. Since then, no crashes have occurred. My PC is a year old, and I'm not aware of any previous crashes linked to XMB before just the standard COD issues. I'm asking if anyone knows how to safely enable XMB again for better stability, especially since I'm new to overclocking and want to keep my system running smoothly. I also have the EVGA Precision X1 utility handy. Thanks!

XMP serves as an automatic overclocking method. Not every RAM package remains stable at XMP speeds, so it's wise to maintain two separate XMP profiles—one for each setting. If the first doesn't work, try the second. Overclocking can always introduce instability, even with XMP enabled. You might consider adjusting manual timings or enabling manual overclock if you're new to this. A BIOS update could also provide a solution.

You're right, building your own PCs means you already have a solid setup. Overclocking isn't necessary unless you specifically want extra performance.
