I recently acquired a new PC with these specifications: Intel Core i7-14700KF ASUS TUF B760-PLUS WIFI 2x 16 GB DDR5 Corsair Vengeance 750W GIGABYTE GP-UD750GM PG5 MSI GeForce RTX 5070 12G VENTUS 2x OC White Windows 11 Home 64-bits. Since the setup, I've encountered a recurring issue where games frequently crash during playback. The crashes occur intermittently—sometimes after just one minute, other times after hours of gameplay or even multiple times within a short span. No error messages appear, which makes it tricky to diagnose. I've checked the Event Viewer, but most reports point to NVIDIA-related problems such as outdated drivers, driver conflicts, GPU instability, DirectX issues, or specific game patches. I've tried updating drivers, reinstalling with clean installs via NVIDIA and DDU, and even performed a full Windows reinstall, but the problem persists. My PC builder suggests a complete Windows reset, though I'm hesitant to risk further damage. I'm also wary of spending more money on fixes. I've saved a text file containing numerous error logs and crash reports named crashes.txt.
appears to be a driver-related problem based on the TXT content. I recommend trying to update your NVIDIA drivers, restarting your PC, and then reinstalling them. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, you can repeat the DDU process, restart again, install an older version of the drivers, and reboot once more. A clean installation might be necessary, but it seems unlikely unless the problem is more severe.
