I recently upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 7 2700X to a Ryzen 7 5800X3D. I faced some issues because I didn’t update the BIOS beforehand, but now the PC starts up fine. When playing games like Palword Sea of Thieve, Escape from Tarcov, Rainbow Six Siege, and BeamNG.DRIVE, I experience crashes mainly during gameplay. Recently, my setup includes a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, an RTX 3070, 32GB RAM, and an 850W power supply. I’ve tried various fixes—reinstalling drivers, updating Windows twice, reinstalling the game, and changing GPUs—but the 3070 still won’t connect to the internet or display properly when a different card is used. I checked for updates but found none and received little help. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

What motherboard and RAM modules are available? Have all power connections from the PSU been properly linked to the GPU using dedicated cables? Avoid using a Y-splitter; use separate cables instead. Have you attempted to remove and reinstall the CPU and RAM? Occasionally, just reinstalling these components resolves the issue. Also verify that thermal paste wasn't accidentally applied to any pins. If that didn’t help, reset the BIOS settings by selecting "load optimized defaults" or "load defaults" followed by "save and restart." Then re-flash the BIOS and restart the system. Do not enable XMP/DOCP at this stage; operate with default BIOS settings. If you need to choose the correct boot drive, do so, but leave other settings untouched. Try running y-cruncher overnight to test stability after more than 10 hours of use. The standard configuration should work (use stress-test mode). You can download the tool here: http://www.numberworld.org/y-cruncher/#Download. If y-cruncher fails, it’s likely a hardware fault. If it succeeds, return to the BIOS and enable XMP/DOCP, then save and restart. Re-run y-cruncher for 10 hours; if it still fails, you probably have a RAM problem and may need to replace either the RAM or the motherboard.
