Specs: gamerock 3070ti 5600 kingston fury 32gb 3200mhz cl16 (4x8gb) crucial p2 1tb tuf b550m-plus vinga vps gv2 850w My only idea at this point is cpu bottleneck or possibly m2(but cleardisk info tells health is 97%), noticed gpu usage dips to 60-70~ and cpu going to 70-80~. But i still dont understand why game stutters on low Issue: Bg3 stuttering with poor frametime, i can get 150fps but 1% is 40 0.1% in 30 Tried adjusting settings from 2160p ultra to 1080p low - lows and stuttering stays essentially same, tho 1080p feels a bit less stuttery(not sure) Here's hwinfo64 log https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1...sp=sharing here's frametime screenshots Imgur: The magic of the Internet **pls dont suggest drivers update, bios update, disabling oc, asking if ram is on xmp, reinstalling windows, reinstalling game, background usage etc - been there, done that and it didnt help(game is now on completely fresh install win and it does stutter the same way it used to)

The system is only slightly above 1080p, with the GPU offering vRAM at 1080p quality. The most recent AMD chipset drivers are available.

Some games need more than 8GB of VRAM, which is mainly due to recent poorly optimized titles. However, I didn't find any issues with VRAM or RAM. The chipset drivers weren't installed, so I suggest installing them and testing the game.

The 3070ti is far from a 1080p setup? Not at all. Just a few weeks back I was using a 5600 with a 2070 and played mostly in 1440, mixing high and ultra without any problems—keeping it on the higher end to stay above 60 in the latest titles. I switched to a 4070 shortly before beginning Baldurs Gate, so I can't say much about 8GB cards for that game, but I still strongly disagree with every part of your comment.

You're free to differ as much as you wish; facts remain unchanged. Several titles have reported problems with Ultra textures on 1080p using 8GB cards, such as poor performance or blurry visuals until the textures fully load. The 3070Ti GPU may handle more demanding tasks than budget models require, but its capabilities are constrained by available VRAM. A card that struggles to run ultra or high-resolution content at 1080p clearly indicates a low-end build.

Vram remains a relevant factor for a fresh buy, though today’s Vram issues seem exaggerated because most problems stem from optimization tweaks. A few notable cases—especially at 1080p and higher—have been resolved in patches. In particular, 1440p and even 4k settings might need extra high-resolution textures. Still, it doesn’t mean the system is just barely working; this is mostly hype.

I've already attempted to turn off OC, reinstall windows, etc., but it didn't work. The game still freezes even in 1080p at low settings and isn't a VRAM problem at 2160p (5GB allocated). I'm keeping the updated thread with hwinfo if this might help.

Consider replacing the CPU with a 5600x3D or 5800X3D model from Microcenter. Alternatively, switch to a different platform. If the GPU isn’t being used fully, that’s the best option because the minor adjustments haven’t made a difference.
