Hey everyone, we're planning a trip with some friends and need offline games that work on one machine. We want support for four players, possibly in split-screen or similar formats. We're thinking about Nintendo emulations but also curious if there are any modern titles we should check out.

I believe the main feature is just a dual split screen, but not Battlefront 2.

Battleblock Theater is an engaging game you can enjoy with up to four players on a single machine, which may offer split-screen or a shared screen experience. It's usually best played with a controller—Xbox 360 controllers work, and PS3 emulators can function similarly. Castle Crashers likely shares a similar theme, though I haven't tried it myself.

I think helldivers has a 4-player local co-op game that was popular, though I didn<|pad|> to join it.

Rocket League is essential. You and your wife enjoyed Gauntlet too, especially if you're into simple, repetitive challenges.
