It might be due to a power supply issue or dirty power coming from the outlet. However, some code errors point to unstable memory or CPU power delivery. Since it's prebuilt, please address this or seek assistance.

it's not a 100% socket, my previous PC worked well, i thought it was memory issues, but all parts are new so i'm unsure. i'm planning to fix it myself with someone more experienced because i'm not very skilled. if i return it, what should i say to them? everything seems fine except some games crash chrome and edge when a game crashes, but only occasionally.

If this is the cause, you should either fix the operating system or perform a full new installation.
This guide was found to assist you:
link:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...l-...a1c39b5a12
It explains what happened with Safe Mode and whether the same issues appeared.
If they did, refer to my advice on OS repair or clean installation.
If not, and only crashes occur during normal boot, it might be linked to GPU drivers.
You could either update or replace the GPU drivers, or use one of the older versions (sometimes newer ones cause problems).
* Obtain a fresh set of GPU drivers for your hardware (including two older versions just in case).
* Remove existing GPU drivers.
* Restart the system.
* Use DDU to eliminate any remaining GPU drivers. DDU:
https://www.guru3d.com/download/display-...-download/
* Restart again.
* Install the GPU drivers (same version if corruption is suspected; otherwise, use an older one).
You may repeatedly install or remove GPU drivers, for example:
1. Apply the latest drivers.
2. If unsuccessful, uninstall and use DDU to remove current drivers, then install an older version.
3. If issues persist, uninstall and DDU again, then install two or three older versions.
However, if the core problem is the kernelbase.dll file, a proper OS repair or clean installation will be necessary.
From a hardware perspective:
New equipment doesn’t guarantee perfect performance.
Also, could you clarify why brand new devices come with a warranty?

I might have overlooked it. Did you install Windows after setting up the system? My 2 cent is for a case without a PSU. These PSUs in cases are inexpensive. I recommend purchasing a Corsair.

It's current.
The PC is prebuilt, so I can't decide.

FiveM stops working after just a couple of minutes when joining, while other games such as CS2 and Rocket League occasionally crash after several hours.

Just checking if your PC isn’t really having issues, but seems like it might be struggling because the hardware is being pushed too hard. I saw a sale for a GPU around £135, which isn’t a top-tier model.
I read somewhere that this card requires about 450 watts, leaving only 200 watts for other components.
Also, it only has 8GB of video RAM, which could be a problem.
My GTX 1080 cost £800 eight years ago and still has the same 8GB video RAM. I usually set it to low settings on games and see if the crashes persist.

You can read, right?
🙄
RX 580 is 185W GPU.
Only GPU that is 450W, is RTX 4090 (operates between 450-600W).
Plenty of VRAM for most tasks. Heck, even 6GB of VRAM can do fine. 2GB or 3GB of VRAM is a bit less for today's gaming (but can be managed as well).
GTX 1080 was flagship when it launched. So, it having 8 GB was tops back then.
Current day flagship is RTX 4090 with 24 GB of VRAM and price tag of ~2000 bucks.
