One day, I increased my CPU FX 8310 speed to 4.3 Ghz with 1.40 in overdrive since the BIOS didn’t have an AI tweaker. After applying the changes, a message about the aero theme appeared. Adjusting frequency and voltage turned the aero theme off again. Restarting resolved the issue. After playing FIFA 18 in fullscreen, I experienced lag but high FPS; using windowed mode fixed it. I also tried loading the default OC setting from overdrive without success.

The paladin asked if a CMOS reset was performed and if the battery was removed from the motherboard for two minutes. He clarified he didn't know the duration was important.

yes it does, and ensure the power is off from the wall before proceeding, or it won't work.

The paladin confirms the issue and reminds to disconnect the power from the wall before proceeding, otherwise it won't work.

I resolved it, I just added the v-sync setting from the NVIDIA control panel and it's functioning properly.
