Looking for optimal in-game configurations for 4K at 60fps without tearing? Your system specs suggest a solid setup. Consider these settings: CPU i7 5820K, Corsair H100i cooler, Asus X99-A motherboard, 16GB RAM, Corsair Vengeance LPX, GTX 980Ti, PSU Corsair RM1000, and a 480GB SSD. Make sure your HDD is a Seagate 2TB with 7200RPM. These choices should deliver smooth performance.

Remove the 980s for an optimized version: https://www.evga.com/Products/Product.as...P4-6286-KR
Performance runs smoothly at around 70 FPS with all settings maxed on Doom 4K, OC 2105Mhz, and just 82 degrees. You only require one card. In GTA 5 you should see about 80-90 FPS in 4K.

Hold on a second. He’s not requesting additional cards anymore, is he? This situation definitely involves a 1080.

Yeah dude 80FPS! Yeah right OP, I would suggest turning down shadows, turning off AA if you have it enabled, or slightly lowering the draw distance.

They want to know which configuration to use for the game, not just adding new GPUs.

Ahem. In testing, that's accurate. For gaming, a strong hand always beats two mediocre cards. This is because SLI support has declined and is now limited to just two cards for decent performance. Previously, you needed at least two cards to get good results. Now, a single card (1080p) can achieve up to 4K quality with solid frame rates of 70-80 FPS across most games.

In gaming, the 1080 offers roughly a 15 FPS boost compared to a single 980 Ti in titles like GTA V. Adjustments in Grand Theft Auto V are sufficient to make a 1080 feel significantly better than a 980 Ti.

The only way one superior card outperforms two marginally weaker ones is when the SLI support is lacking or absent. You need to ensure your information is accurate or avoid spreading misinformation.

This discussion focuses on adjusting game configurations. Purchasing two units of 980tis would result in significant financial loss without meaningful performance improvement. Why did this idea arise?
