I recently finished building my new PC... 14700k i7, ROG STRIX 4080 SUPER, m.2 980 pro 2 tb, KRAKEN 360 AIO, CORSAIR RM 1000 PSU, ARORUS Z790 MOTHERBOARD.... I have high fps and a very good score in user benchmark. All temperatures are fine. I feel like I've tried everything and am almost ready to sell everything. If anyone could offer some advice, I would really appreciate it... thank you for your time.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! What games have you tested on the system? Where did you obtain the game installers from? BIOS version for your motherboard? Did you set up the OS offline (if you're using Windows 11), installing all drivers manually in an elevated command with the newest versions?
I initially used the Windows boot drive, installed my Nvidia drivers, bought a Windows 10 key and activated it. Next, I added focusrite soundcard drivers for my interface. Later, I noticed I hadn’t updated Windows 10 after purchasing, so I did. Then I realized I missed updating motherboard drivers, so I updated those too along with the BIOS. After that, I tested games like Escape from Tarkov, Day Z, Counter-Strike 2, Call of Duty, and Grayzone Warfare, all running smoothly at around 350 FPS. I also ran a 3D Mark benchmark and everything worked well. I kept monitoring with MSI Afterburner and found my GPU stayed lit even when the PC shut down. Thank you for your response—I really value this!
