The issue continues even when using an entirely separate network (I experienced it at a friend’s residence). I’ve attempted to utilize older NVIDIA driver versions, but the problem remains unresolved. Given that my laptop is brand new and I haven't installed any updates yet, could I roll back to a previous Windows version? Initially, I recommend installing all available Windows updates; the current iteration appears relatively stable – though individual experiences may differ. Subsequently, consult your laptop manufacturer to obtain the newest drivers for your specific model… despite its “newness,” it’s possible it was stored in a warehouse and hadn't received the most recent updates (please note: do not acquire GPU drivers from Asus; instead, obtain them directly from NVIDIA).

Evaluate your computer’s performance using a benchmark tool and examine the graphics card (GPU) and central processing unit (CPU) measurements within the game with programs like MSI Afterburner or comparable software, then share the findings…

I observe that my GPU utilization is also inconsistent during Overwatch gameplay, although I’m uncertain about the implications of this.

Attempt a fresh installation of older NVIDIA graphics card drivers. Additionally, the processor temperature and utilization aren't shown within the data readings, potentially representing a key issue. Are the game configuration options in Windows settings turned off? What build of Windows 10 (like 1809) is currently active?

Hello, I recently purchased my FX504 yesterday (Intel i5 8th generation processor, NVIDIA GTX 1050 with 4GB of video memory, and 8GB of RAM). I’m experiencing the same problems as you.

I play Overwatch and my frame rate frequently drops to 60 frames per second, even though it typically operates at 100+ FPS. It appears that limiting my frame rate to 60 eliminates the stuttering, but that's not ideal for a competitive online shooter at that speed.

I’ve tested this with other games and the stutter persists. Have you discovered any fixes?

I recently received one myself and am experiencing similar problems. After researching and testing, I’ve determined the issue stems from inadequate cooling and the CPU is being throttled at temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees Celsius. When you mentioned it runs smoothly for a period, this laptop can only sustain maximum CPU performance at 3.9 GHz for 15 to 60 seconds depending on ambient temperature. You could reduce throttling by limiting your CPU speed to around 2.8-2.5 GHz for more stable operation and to prevent frame rate drops. Perhaps applying better thermal paste would also help. Has anyone else noticed high-pitched noises or coil whine with this laptop?

Hi, I experienced the identical notebook and issue.

I discovered that the notebook continued utilizing the built-in Intel graphics card despite selecting Nvidia through the Nvidia Control Center.

My resolution involved designating the Nvidia card for individual applications (games) via “application settings.”
