Hi, I own an Asus Rog Croashair Hero VI and discovered my PSU Thermaltake Thoughpower Grand RGB 750W 80+Gold isn't fully compatible. A note from PcPartPicker explains that the motherboard has a separate 4-pin ATX power connector, but the PSU lacks this feature. It’s meant for extra 12V power, though using it might help if you need more current for overclocking or powerful cards. I’m considering a replacement and wondering if Corsair Rm750x or Rm850x would work. My setup includes a Ryzen 7 1700X, 16GB DDR4 RAM, TridentZ RGB 3200MHz, an EVGA GTX1070, and the mentioned PSU. I also have a Samsung 500GB SSD, a Seagate Firecuda 2TB SSSH hybrid drive, and a Fractal design SSD. Let me know your thoughts.

It's not essential to have it, but you're saying you don't really need it. The 1700 won't generate enough power to even reach a single 4-pin connector without dry ice or liquid nitrogen. An 8-pin version could handle twice the demand.

Sure, it should boost performance. The ideal speed depends on her gaming style. The chip’s default temperature is 90°C unless the motherboard limits it first (VRAM heat). Start with performance enhancer levels 1 and 2, keep everything at full speed except memory overclocking.
