Gameplay displays on a fresh 144Hz screen gradually turning to black
I recently borrowed a monitor from a colleague (LG 27GL850-B) and it functions perfectly outside of gaming. But inside games, I face a recurring issue where the screen turns black. On the desktop, browsing and running all programs work without trouble, yet once I launch a game, the problem appears. Notably, World of Tanks only flickers when using ultra graphics at 1080p, while medium settings are stable. Switching to 2k resolution fixed the issue, but setting it lower still causes flickering. Even with 100, 120, and 144 Hz, the GPU maintains a consistent 119 fps without any frame cap. I've also tested different resolutions and found no FPS limitations, which is puzzling given the high output. I attempted various fixes—using another DP 1.4 port, HDMI cable, disabling FreeSync in settings, reinstalling drivers—but nothing resolved the matter. The monitor claims G-Sync support, yet it seems to behave like it lacks that feature. It’s unclear whether the problem lies in AMD software settings or something else entirely. I’m uncertain about next steps and would appreciate any suggestions on possible causes, additional troubleshooting, or signs of GPU failure. A recent test showed World of Tanks works at 2k ultra with 60Hz in-game settings, but at 59 FPS cap and 100Hz profiles midway through the game, the same flickering occurs. My system specs include an Intel i5 6600, ASUS H110M-C motherboard, 8GB DDR4 RAM, XFX AMD Radeon RX 480, and a Forton Hexa Plus GPU with 500W power.

Attempted 100Hz playback but limited to 59fps; issue persists.
