You're facing some performance issues with your Acer Aspire V3 772G setup. It seems the GPU isn't handling higher resolutions smoothly, especially at 1080p. The problem appears to be with the GPU not delivering consistent frame rates, even after updating drivers. Games like Watch Dogs and Saints Row work fine, but Crysis 3 struggles. The NVIDIA control panel indicates the GPU is capable, though it's not performing optimally. No changes to settings have resolved the issue.

This game isn't really optimized at all. Even with the settings set to the lowest, my GTX 780Ti still struggles to maintain a consistent frame rate. Ubi, you're right—there might be ways to improve it, but honestly, it's so laggy that you shouldn't be disappointed.

The performance has noticeably improved from 30 fps to 15-19 fps. These issues seem linked to a driver update or a WD patch.

Right after the update everything worked better as expected and nothing unusual occurred. I used to see a steady 30fps before, but today it’s completely unplayable regardless of settings. It seems all my games are now behaving this way too—if my 760 isn’t running, I’m stuck using the built-in Intel graphics. According to Afterburner, neither my CPU nor GPU is throttling at all.

I recently attempted to play for a short time to conduct a temporary test. My GPU temperature is currently around 55 degrees, whereas it was 80 after I played Watch Dogs. The afterburner shows 99% GPU usage and around 30-50% CPU usage, which seems normal. I’m unsure where the issue lies.

Are you using a surface that doesn't allow proper airflow for the laptop? Or maybe the heatsink requires cleaning, similar to what I had to do with my Asus machine. I can run Crysis at high settings without issues, but eventually it stopped working at lower levels. After cleaning the heatsink, everything felt much better—games ran smoothly again. That seems like the most likely cause of your problem.

It functions more smoothly now. I can operate with your 780 in 3D 1080p. Minor delays in cars are acceptable. Please ensure you have the most recent drivers installed.

It's the same for me too. I'm using an HP ENVY 15 with similar hardware (i7 4700MQ and GT740M) and it performs similarly. I don't need to worry as much because most people playing Watch Dogs struggle with keeping a steady frame rate, even on powerful systems.

Discover a simple method to ease stuttering. Explore the MaLDo textures. "The mod's texture patch is provided by MaLDo, the expert behind Crysis 2. It adjusts Watch Dogs' 'High' texture to use 'Ultra' versions without mipmaps, helping minimize stutter on GPUs with just 2GB of VRAM." - PCGamer
